UX strategy, management and leadership for Athenahealth’s revenue cycle management and patient engagement solutions. Influenced strategic direction and product vision. Spearheaded initiatives that delivered strategic product impact and elevated the UX team's visibility.


Facilitated alignment across cross-functional stakeholders, through collaborative workshops and discussions. Transformed UX into a strategic partner, moving beyond tactical design delivery through qualitative, quantitative research initiatives including competitive analysis, user interviews, and site visits to healthcare practices in the US. Leveraged tools like proto personas and journey maps, initiated efficient processes, and developed service maps to enhance understanding and technology. Filled leadership gaps to define product vision, fostered learning and growth within the team, and built trust by consistently demonstrating UX's strategic value, while positioning the team for future success

Microsoft, Redmond, WA | 2009 – 2010

Led and provided interaction and user experience for productivity apps for Windows Phone 7.

Surface Gesture Nomenclature

Microsoft, Redmond, WA | 2007

Led the exploration of a touch based gesture nomenclature for Microsoft Surface Tabletop, which later served as a foundational reference for the company's universal Natural User Interface (NUI) guidelines, including those for Windows Phone 7.

Microsoft Tablet PC

Microsoft, Redmond, WA | 2004 - 2007

Explored innovative solutions for pen-enabled applications for Tablet PC, such as page navigation, ink to text and radial menus. Touch based radial menu concept was later included in the Microsoft SDK as "Context menus".

Microsoft Ultra Mobile PC (Tablet PC)

Microsoft, Redmond, WA | 2004 - 2007

Prototypes and concepts for Ultra Mobile experiences.

Helped steer an effort to create intuitive, portable interfaces and streamlined interactions on smaller screens while ensuring functionality for tasks such as managing contacts, calendars, emails, and simple web browsing for touchscreens, styluses, and compact keyboards. Designs addressed the constraints of limited screen real estate and processing power by simplifying navigation, prioritizing essential features, and introducing elements like icon-based interfaces. These early explorations using, gestures, and responsive designs can be seen in modern mobile user experiences.

Understanding the current environment in coaching and tutorials in India, Conducted an ad-hoc research survey to understand the current landscape of coaching and tutorials in India. The findings were aimed at guiding explorations in education, with a focus on leveraging technology in emerging markets.
